RedFish Marine is a continuation of over 15 years of experience in the marine industry by owner Ian Johnston. Always an avid boating enthusiast, Ian began his marine career with West Marine, in commercial sales and sales management. He learned the electronics trade directly from navigation and electronics manufacturers, becoming an expert in their product lines and new technologies, and later training dealers, installers, builders and resellers on the operation and installation..

Ian is a NMEA master certified electronics installer and a NMEA2000 master installer. He is also a certified installer for the following manufacturers:

Airmar

B&G

Garmin

Lowrance / Simrad 

Raymarine.

 

Marine electronics can be intimidating to some; and Ian noticed many installers, dealers and end users alike struggled to understand the full capabilities of modern marine electronics. So Ian decided to create an electronics/navionics business that would cater directly to the end user and bring manufacturer-level expertise to the recreational boater.

 

Originally on the west coast, Ian recently relocated with his family to Florida and moved his business to the Treasure Coast. Now operating as RedFish Marine, Ian and his team offer full electrical, electronics and navigation services for any size watercraft, as well as dry boat storage and monthly slip rentals on the river, conveniently minutes from Sebastian Inlet in Grant Valkaria.
